Membership Questions

I will be quite happy to respond to any emails I receive, but I will try an answer the main questions I get asked here. The first thing is, (unless you live within 1 mile of Wem town hall) you will need to know two existing members of the club that have held a club card for a least five full seasons, these two members can if they wish act as sponsors. Other than obvious reasons for security, the reason the club asks for sponsors is to reduce the amount of applications. Very few Wem Angling Club cards become available each season because it is such good value for money that anglers tend to hold on to their cards.

The Application forms are now down loadable from this site please see below for which type you require (The application forms are in .PDF format so you will have to Acrobat reader to view and print these files).

There are two types of Application form :-

1. Is for local anglers who live from 1 to 10 miles of Wem town Hall.

2. Is for associate anglers who live further than 10 mile from Wem Town Hall

Once you have printed off the application form, fill it in with the relevant Information and send it to the address shown at the bottom of the form (note new addresses), also enclose a stamped addressed envelope. It would be advisable to take copies of everything as it may be unlikely you will get into the club at the first time of asking.

There is now no need to keep applying at the start of every year unless one/both of your guarantors is no longer a member

For ex-members who wish to re-join the club you still have to fill out an application form, so please follow the instructions shown above.
