Hawk Lake & Tilley Pools
At Wem Angling Club, members have exclusive access to two private fishing waters: the historic Hawk Lake and the purpose‑built Tilley Pools. Each offers a unique experience — whether you’re chasing specimen carp, enjoying relaxed float fishing, or introducing someone new to the sport.

HAWK LAKE
Over 200 Years of Angling Heritage
Originally constructed in the late 1700s by landscape designer William Emes, Hawk Lake was built as part of the Hawkstone Estate and remains the heart of our club. It is a large, mature lake surrounded by natural beauty, steeped in local history, and packed with character.

Purpose‑Built for Relaxed, Accessible Fishing
Constructed and opened in 2005, the Tilley Pools were designed to give all members easier access to safe, calm fishing – especially juniors, senior anglers, and those with mobility needs. These stillwaters are well‑stocked and well‑maintained year-round.
